Deya Delacruz – Artist

Her inspiration artistic comes from the colors, scents, landscapes and sounds of the Tropic. She’s described as a Caribbean woman, without fear of walking in the darkest nights of the soul and look for light in them, transmuting the negative into positive to give an infinite meaning to life, as modern Penelope, uses the warp of colors, mixing them with words as a plot to produce canvases that are the fabric of life in various stages: success and adversity. Polarization that affects the way human beings face conflicts, to find a balance in the search for inner peace.

She works vigorously, exploring with colors and shapes, to give life to her poetry. Through observation and reflection, she experiments with different media and textures, the way of visually expressing the poems, always shimmering the dance of the soul imbued with the magic of her beloved Caribbean colors/ “Colores del Caribe”
